In places where polio immunization with oral polio vaccine (OPV) rates
are extremely low, the vaccine virus is able to spread in the community.
Sometimes the virus mutates and regains its virulence, because it's a
live virus so it has the possibility of recovering its original
properties and cause polio - circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus
(cVDPV).
