Three-day anti polio campaign was launched in Balochistan to combat the crippling disease, here on Monday.

Expressing his concern over the increase of polio cases in the province, Lehri asked the officials of the health department to leave no stone unturned to eradicate polio form the province.
"Officials concerned must ensure polio drops to every child below the age of five," he stressed.
He called for accelerating the awareness campaign through pamphlets and said people should be sensitised against the crippling disease.
He also urged religious scholars, teachers and parents to co-operate with the visiting health teams in their areas and convince the vicinity people to administer anti-polio drops to their children.
He said that tribal, and social and political figures of the province are being approached to make the drive launched in the province a success.The chief secretary said that it is our national responsibility to work against the menace of polio and urged the authorities concerned to take measures for achieving desired targets of the drive.It may be mentioned here that in the face of increasing polio cases in the province, Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani has asked Director General Public Relations Balochistan, Kamran Asad to monitor anti-polio campaign launched in the province.
The DGPR would monitor the drive under the National Emergency Plan and apprise government about the measures taken by the health department in this regard.
